NTA has released the official calendar on their official website @nta.ac.in for the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 and Session 2 exam dates. The JEE Session 1 exam will be conducted between Jan 24 to Feb 01 and between April 01 to 15 for Session 2.
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official calendar regarding the JEE Main exam dates on the official website @nta.ac.in on September 19, 2023.
As per the latest reports, JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will be held from January 24 to February 01, 2024. NTA released the official notification confirming the JEE Main Exam Dates on its official website. As per the schedule, the Session 2 of JEE Main 2024 will be conducted between April 01 – 15, 2024
Every year NTA conducts the JEE Main exam to offer BE/BArch/ BTech Admission in various institutions like NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), in addition to Institutions/Universities endorsed by participating State Governments.
JEE Main 2024 is conducted in an online format, as a computer-based test. As part of the assessment, candidates will be required to respond to 75 out of 90 questions. Each individual question in the JEE Main 2024 question paper will carry a weightage of 4 marks, and a deduction of -1 mark will be applied for each incorrect response.

JEE Main 2024: Eligibility Criteria
The JEE Main exam dates will be shortly released with the official JEE Main Notification from the NTA. Aspiring candidates planning to take the JEE Main should carefully review the eligibility criteria set by the NTA.
The provided JEE Main eligibility criteria below are based on previous year's information, and they will be updated once the JEE Main 2024 notification is made available:
- Age Limit - The officials have refrained from specifying any age limit for JEE Main application.
- Qualifying Exam - To meet the JEE Main eligibility, candidates must have successfully completed their 12th grade or equivalent examinations from a recognized board.
- Required Subjects - As part of the eligibility criteria, candidates should have cleared five subjects - Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, or any other subject.
Furthermore, in the year 2023, candidates were granted relief from the necessity of participating in both exam sessions. Instead, those who chose to partake in multiple sessions had their most favorable JEE Main scores considered for the preparation of merit lists and rankings.
