IIT JAM 2026 Additional and Final Seat Allocation Round on July 6 and 7; Check What Candidates Should Do

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released a fresh admission notice. It concerns the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026. IIT Bombay will conduct the JAM 2026 final seat allocation round. The round will be held on July 6 and 7, 2026. Candidates can track updates on JOAPS at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

This is the concluding round of the JAM 2026 admission cycle. Candidates who missed earlier allotment rounds get one final chance. The round covers 89 postgraduate programmes across 22 IITs. These programmes are for the 2026-27 academic year.

Key Details of the JAM 2026 Final Round

The final round follows completion of the Fourth Admission List. That list was released on June 27, 2026. JAM 2026 offers seats across science and allied disciplines at the IITs.

How to Check the JAM 2026 Seat Allocation on JOAPS?

Candidates must follow these steps on the JOAPS portal:

• Visit the official JAM 2026 portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
• Click on the JOAPS login link.
• Enter your enrolment ID and password.
• Check the seat allocation status on the dashboard.
• Download the offer letter if a seat is allotted.

Who Is Considered in the Final Round?

Only qualified JAM 2026 candidates registered on JOAPS are considered. Admission depends on each admitting institute's Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) criteria. Qualifying JAM alone does not guarantee admission or a seat.

What Happens After the Final Round?

The final admitted list will be shared with the respective admitting institutes. Institutes will then begin document verification and fitness assessment. Final fee payment will follow at the institute level. Offer letters will be available on JOAPS from July 9, 2026.
