IIT JAM 2027 Registration Deadline Extended at jam.iitkgp.ac.in; Check Last Date to Apply

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has extended a key registration deadline. This concerns the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 application window. Aspirants can now register until October 19, 2026 through the official portal at jam.iitkgp.ac.in.

The earlier registration deadline was fixed for October 12, 2026. Candidates must complete the process on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS). The application system is available at joaps.iitkgp.ac.in.

JAM is the gateway to postgraduate science programmes across participating IITs. Around 3,000 seats are offered through this common entrance test annually.

IIT JAM 2027 Exam Pattern

The examination will take place in two sessions on February 14, 2027. The forenoon session runs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The afternoon session will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Each paper carries 60 questions across three formats. These include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
