What Happens After Withdrawing a Seat?
Once a candidate confirms the withdrawal request on JOAPS, the allotted seat is permanently forfeited. The candidate will become ineligible for all subsequent admission rounds, and the surrendered seat will be made available to other waitlisted candidates.
The withdrawal decision cannot be reversed after submission. Candidates are advised to read the declaration carefully before confirming the request. The official notice also states that no withdrawal requests will be accepted after the deadline.
The withdrawal window closes the same day as the Fourth Admission List deadline. Candidates holding a JAM seat but planning to join another programme must act before the cutoff. Missing the deadline means losing the entire Seat Booking Fee.
