The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has opened the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2026 Session 2 registration on the official website at kmatindia.com. The registration window opened on September 28, 2026, for candidates seeking MBA and MCA admissions in Karnataka.

Eligible aspirants can submit their applications online through the official portal at kmatindia26.cbrt.co.in. The last date to complete the KMAT 2026 Session 2 application is October 31, 2026.

KMAT is a state-level entrance test used for admission to AICTE-approved, university-affiliated self-financing colleges in Karnataka. It currently covers 159 member institutions offering MBA programmes and 69 institutions offering MCA programmes.

Candidates who appeared for KMAT 2026 Session 1 are also allowed to register for Session 2. This second attempt allows candidates to improve their overall KMAT score before counselling.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for KMAT 2026 Session 2?

For MBA admission, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree of minimum three years in any discipline. The qualifying degree must be from a recognised university with the required aggregate marks.

For MCA admission, candidates need a graduate degree with Mathematics or Statistics at either the 10+2 or graduation level. Final-year degree students awaiting results are also permitted to apply provisionally.

KMAT 2026 Exam Pattern

The KMAT 2026 question paper is a computer-based test of 120 minutes duration. It carries 120 objective-type questions across three sections, with each section carrying equal weightage.

Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for wrong responses. Candidates can attempt the questions in any order within the total test duration.
