IIM Jammu Inaugurates Management Development Programme for PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Ltd; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu launched Management Development Programme for PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Ltd. The curriculum will run from July 2023 to November 2023 for a total of five months.

At Srinagar Off Campus, the program's opening phase is running offline. The Executive Education Office is in charge of overseeing the entire programme. IIM Jammu will offer 25 hours of classroom instruction in offline format, while PNB MetLife will participate for 25 hours.

The program's goal and focus are to assist life insurance professionals in building managerial aptitude, with more specific goals including skill development, sales acumen improvement, product knowledge enhancement, customer service excellence, and regulatory compliance promotion.

IIM Jammu's Dr. Ashish Kumar, Dr. Manu Bansal, Dr. Pratik Maheshwari, and Dr. Niti Shekhar are the programme directors for this training course. In the presence of Professor B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, Shri Prranta Dutta, Director - Distribution Training & Corporate L&D, Shri Anjan Talukdar, Associate Director - L&D - HR, PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Limited, and Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Chairperson, Executive Education, and Consultancy and Srinagar -Off Campus, the management institute launched the programme at Srinagar off-Campus.

Speaking at the event, Professor B. S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, said that learning shouldn't be restricted to a particular field or to one's own place. He emphasised once more how globalisation has altered how both individuals and businesses conduct business.

The business environment has changed as a result of this. Because of this, life insurance professionals must receive managerial training in order to acquire and improve the business knowledge and skills necessary to successfully respond to changes in the business environment.

He emphasised that the course would introduce life insurance professionals to management theory and practise, as well as teach them the fundamentals of strategy, design thinking, innovation, and communication.

According to Shri Prranta Dutta, Director, Distribution Training & Corporate L&D, Human Resources, successful management and financial performance are closely related. He emphasised that effective managers can maximise resources, put cost-cutting measures in place, and boost income. The corporation can increase profitability and attain long-lasting financial success by strengthening its management capabilities.

The training programme will increase administrative staff members' knowledge and awareness of the business situation and environment, according to Shri Anjan Talukdar, Associate Director - L&D - HR, PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Limited. This will prepare them to meet present and future training challenges.
