IIM Indore Works Towards Empowering Madhya Pradesh’s Youth with Skills

New Delhi: In a dedicated commitment to fueling the aspirations of India's young generation, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has embarked on an ambitious and transformative endeavor. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked with the Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park (SSR GSP) and the Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Project (MPSDP), the institute is set to overhaul the landscape of skill development in the region. 

The ceremony occurred at Bhopal on December 2, 2023, and was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, alongside Mr. Manu Srivastava, the DTE Principal Secretary. Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair of Executive Education at IIM Indore, Mr. Ram Ramalingam representing SSR GSP, and Ms. Sheetla Patle from MPSDP were the signatories to this pivotal MoU. Their collective vision solidifies the establishment of a Center of Excellence dedicated to honing the skills of the region's youth.

This collaborative initiative stands poised to revolutionize the existing framework of skill development, channeling its focus on uplifting and enhancing the capabilities of Madhya Pradesh's young populace. At its core, the alliance seeks to redefine the essence of skill development by infusing innovation, expertise, and specialized programs tailored to meet the evolving demands of the modern workforce.

The essence of this partnership lies in its commitment to nurturing talent, fostering growth, and equipping individuals with the requisite skills to thrive in a dynamic professional landscape. By amalgamating the resources and expertise of IIM Indore, SSR GSP, and MPSDP, the stage is set for a holistic transformation that transcends conventional boundaries.

SSR GSP operates the Center for Occupational Skills Acquisition (COSA), centering its approach on global benchmarks in training delivery, industry collaboration, teaching methodologies, evaluation, and accreditation. The genesis of this partnership emerged from SSR GSP's Expression of Interest (EoI), inviting proposals from governmental bodies to establish and oversee Centers of Excellence (COE) within COSA-II. 

The primary focus of this alliance is to establish a synergy between distinguished educational institutions, both public and private, to orchestrate and administer training programs within COSA-II, housed within SSR GSP.
