IIM Indore recently marked a significant achievement in its commitment to executive education in the UAE and GCC by concluding two distinguished programs.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has celebrated a significant achievement in its dedication to enhancing executive education in the UAE and GCC regions.
On September 23, 2023, the closing ceremony for two prestigious programs, the General Management Programme for Executives (GMPe Batch-10 and Batch-11) and the Advanced Management Programme for Senior Leaders (AMPSL Batch-01), was held at the IIM Indore campus.
The event featured distinguished guests, including Shri M. M. Murugappan, Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIM Indore faculty, who delivered the valedictory address, and Prof Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, who delivered the closing address. Additionally, Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair of Executive Education, Prof. Manish Popli, Programme Coordinator, and Dr. Mahesh Chotrani, Founder-Director of Anisuma Training Institute, graced the occasion with their presence.
During his address, Shri M. M. Murugappan extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their remarkable journey through the executive education programs. He highlighted the exceptional diversity within the cohort, representing a rich cross-section of individuals with diverse backgrounds. Shri Murugappan recognized that each participant had their unique motivations for pursuing further education.

He commended the participants for their ambitious aspirations, whether aimed at excelling in their professions, venturing into entrepreneurship, or expanding their leadership horizons. Shri Murugappan encouraged them to seize this moment as an opportunity for self-reflection and introspection, fostering both personal and professional growth.
Highlighting the value of the participants' learning journey, Shri Murugappan underscored that IIM Indore's programs provide a distinct opportunity to prepare for more significant roles.
He urged them to contemplate the ways in which global events, including geopolitical shifts and technological advancements, influence their respective fields and business endeavors.
In a rapidly changing world, he emphasized the significance of remaining well-informed and adaptable. Shri Murugappan also stressed the power of networking, highlighting the extensive alumni network of IIM Indore as a valuable resource for continuous learning and collaboration.
During his speech, Prof. Himanshu Rai introduced the acronym "FIRE" as a guiding principle for personal and professional growth. He placed great importance on "Fortitude" (F), urging participants to take the first step and conquer their fears by reflecting on past accomplishments.
Shifting to "Introspective Reflection" (I), he encouraged individuals to scrutinize their motivations and recognize that life, akin to a melody, necessitates moments of quiet introspection to attain harmony. "Identify your own definition of success. Personal definitions of success evolve over time, and life unfolds between these milestones, he remarked.
Finally, he emphasized "Equanimity" (E), underlining the joy and gratitude that stem from giving. He encouraged the embrace of a generous spirit, reminding everyone that genuine contentment frequently arises from acts of giving.
He also urged the participants to cultivate resilience, embark on a journey of self-discovery, and harness the transformative power of generosity, igniting the FIRE within as they continue their journeys.
Prof. Manish Popli also noted that this marked a historic moment for IIM Indore, as it was the first time that three substantial batches from the UAE and GCC nations were graduating simultaneously.
Underscoring the institute's unwavering commitment to executive education and its dedicated efforts to craft courses tailored to enhance the professional journey of individuals in the region. He remarked that IIM Indore programs are meticulously designed not only to impart knowledge but also to instill a comprehensive perspective on leadership and professional development.
Dr. Mahesh Chotrani then recognized and announced the Best Groups for their exceptional performance throughout this educational journey. These distinguished groups received certificates from the Chairman and the Director.
Acknowledging the significant impact that IIM Indore has had in the UAE and GCC regions, Dr. Chotrani highlighted the institute's extensive network of over 700 alumni, a testament to the success and growth of the programs offered.
Notably, he pointed out that 30 percent of admissions to new batches result from referrals, showcasing the trust and satisfaction of both alumni and participants in the institution's offerings. Lastly, the event concluded with a vote of thanks.
