IIM Indore and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) have joined forces in a groundbreaking collaboration. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the directors of both institutions sets the stage for transformative initiatives.

New Delhi: Venturing into new academic realms, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has entered a significant agreement with Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Director Himanshu Rai from IIM Indore and Albert Chau, Vice President (Teaching and Learning) at HKBU, signed the MoU, establishing the groundwork for a collaborative partnership focused on surpassing borders and promoting transformative academic endeavors.

The dedication to reciprocal exchange programs, academic involvements, knowledge sharing, collaborative research ventures, data interchange, and the exploration of joint programs vividly highlights the sincere commitment of both IIM Indore and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) to cultivate a transformative partnership.

IIM Indore Director on Partnership with HKBU

Professor Rai from IIM Indore faculty mentioned that they had signed 18 international MoUs in the last five years, and this collaboration with HKBU marked the 19th international partnership.

He expressed the goal of establishing a platform for innovative academic pursuits that transcend geographical boundaries. He conveyed that this collaboration exemplifies their dedication to global excellence and collaborative learning, emphasizing their commitment to embracing diverse perspectives and cultivating global citizens.

He added that the collaborative framework serves as a gateway to numerous academic benefits, where exchange programs between faculty and students become conduits for the cross-pollination of ideas, fostering a vibrant academic culture enriched by diverse perspectives.

Professor Rai stated that academic engagements, including participation in various events, contribute to intellectual enhancement, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Professor Chau expressed the vision of advancing to the next stage by establishing a strong student exchange program. He emphasized the initiative to commence with undergraduate-level exchanges, expressing eagerness for HKBU to send their full-time BBA students to IIM Indore and welcome IPM students from IIM Indore in return.

Additionally, he highlighted that joint research initiatives and data exchange would bring together the collective expertise of both institutions, driving innovative advancements and making significant contributions to the academic landscape.

Highlighting the amplification of academic excellence and innovation through exploring joint programs, he stated that such initiatives ultimately benefit both institutes in their pursuit of comprehensive educational experiences and impactful research outcomes.

Drawing on its extensive network of alliances with 47 institutions across 20 countries, IIM Indore recognizes the profound impact of international collaborations.
