IBA Bangalore Hosts Conference on “Sustainable Marketing”; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The 15th International Conference and Research Consortium in Marketing, was hosted by Indus Business Academy in Bangalore from January 4 - 6, 2024. The theme of the conference was “Sustainable Marketing: a Conscious Consumerism and Public Policy Perspective.”

There were several winners at the . Dr. Sara Wurzer from Innsbruck University, Austria won the Best Doctoral Research Paper Award which carried a cash prize of INR 25000. Mrs. Archana Motta from PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore won the Best Research Paper Award with INR 15000 as a cash prize. Ms Gayatri S of Christ University, Bengaluru won the Best Research Paper Award under the Student Category with a cash prize of INR 10000. 

The conference commenced by the keynote of Padmabhusan Dr. Jagdish Sheth, Emory University, and Dr. V. Kumar, Brock University, Canada. Dr. Sheth highlighted the threat of global warming and stressed the importance of public education. Dr. Kumar underscored the importance of brands in value creation and appropriation, showcasing their contribution towards establishing sustainable marketing practices.

Indus Business Academy honored Dr. V. Kumar with the Shri BML Jain Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to academics. Dr. V. Kumar is a Professor of Marketing, at Brock University, ON, Canada. Prof. Kumar has published more than 300 papers in scholarly journals received over 20 Lifetime Achievement Awards, and was honored as a Legend in Marketing through the 10-volume Legends in Marketing series.
