You have held key positions at IICA (the International Institute of Cosmetology and Aesthetics) throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with this sector?

I am employed in numerous beauty and wellness organizations as a key staff member; enhancing my influence within this thriving industry. At first, it's transformational in a way that makes it more than superficial physiques and beautifying, but at the same time, it builds up people’s morale and their well-being, and this in turn brings me so much joy. Secondly, there is a change in the sector in terms of technology, products, and techniques, which makes me interested in the sector. Keeping track of trends in the market helps keep the institute in avante-garde of industry trends. Third, the industry is rather personal, depending on individual needs and cultural differences, which is inspiring. Maintaining healthy and positive relations with clients and partners involves a set of activities that, at the same time, are both enjoyable and difficult. Finally, the fact that the sector is still growing massively and has a great influence worldwide encourages me that society seems to embrace more self-care making it easier to make a positive change. On balance, one can state that the beauty and wellness sector has been widely appealing to me due to the aesthetics, interpersonal communication, and opportunities attributable to the sector, which seem to have infinite possibilities to improve people’s lives.

Being the National Business Head of IICA (International Institute of Cosmetology and Aesthetics), what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

Ans. My leadership style promotes teamwork, creativity, and improvement as constants. I inspire my subordinates by practicing what I preach and helping them unleash their maximum potential. In our team, I try to create conditions where creativity can be effectively applied, where experimenting is allowed, and where positive as well as negative outcomes are analyzed. Due to the focus on accountability and integrity, the strategies mentioned include defining goals and offering the means for their achievement. Trust identifies and maintains positive working relationships both within one’s organization and with other external organizations, institutions, or people. By creating a positive attitude and an egalitarian organizational environment, I motivate the employees to perform at their optimum for the organization’s objectives. Thus, my leadership is teamwork, the encouragement of the subordinates, motivation, open communication, and a focus on the growth of not only the set goals but also the people and their development.

Being the National Business Head of IICA (International Institute of Cosmetology and Aesthetics), how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your academies?

Therefore, I deliberately schedule work programs within the marketing and administration departments for growth and influence. This includes issues to do with the marketing communication plan and its synergy with other organizational objectives based on analytics. Outreach is a top priority area set to serve the purpose of establishing rapport with the stakeholders and asserting our focus, specialization, and novelty. On the administration level, I focus on clear processes, increasing the effectiveness of functional activities. I purchase technology and facilities that enhance the educational process and guarantee the program’s solvency. Due to coordination with the teams and other stakeholders, everyone is aware of the problem and gets involved in the problem-solving process. In sum, my strategy brings strategic direction daily through establishing market leadership for IICA in education through marketing and efficient administration.
