Being the Founder & Chairperson of IICA (International Institute of Cosmetology and Aesthetics), what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
I sum up my style of leadership in three words: empowerment, vision, and excellence. Each person possesses potential, I think, that can be trained and developed to the latter’s highest capacity. We have tutors at IICA who motivate learners towards attaining their dreams in operations, cosmetology and aesthetics. My leadership style at the college is mainly visionary in nature. I create a collaborative culture that is innovative and focused on openness and honesty. As a continual learner, I support my team to adapt to change and strive for the highest standards to make IICA a regent in cosmetology and aesthetics education. My leadership is about people and their ideas, about inspiration, and about creating new paradigms in my area of practice.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?
In my mind, joining our program creates a major shift in growing students’ educational experiences based on the integration of theories with practicality. We are proud of the accomplishments of IICA, and we have a curriculum that places equal emphasis on academic areas and practical teachings. It is our program’s purpose to provide the students with the best academic understanding of aesthetics and cosmetology and the relevant practical experience they need in this specific field. This strategy ensures there are competent graduates fit to meet work demands. Education at IICA provides learners of the international educational environment with a priceless opportunity to become real participants in a multicultural setting. At IICA, special attention is paid to the fact that studying is comfortable and helpful to students. We have qualified instructors who are fully devoted to ensuring each learner gets the best for which we offer individual tutoring and guidance. International students who decide to study at IICA acquire not only a diploma from one of the best cosmetology and aesthetics colleges, but also invaluable experience, an expanded outlook, contacts in the sphere, and a friendly learning environment.
How does the curriculum of IICA (International Institute of Cosmetology and Aesthetics) ensure the best practice of the industry?
As a training institution in cosmetology and aesthetics at IICA, our curriculum is tailored to fit international market standards. We ensure excellence through an updated syllabus. The contents of our syllabi are actively reviewed as far as the trends, technology, and methodology in cosmetology and aesthetics are concerned. We hire personnel with vast experience and work with affiliates that offer the latest, most useful information in the market. We have comprehensive practicals which are conducted in modern facilities, and our learner’s skills in basic and complicated procedures are enhanced. Essential aspects of safety, hygiene, and ethical work are also highly valued in accordance with the requirements and norms of the sector. We provide advanced courses along with certifications for the continual professional development of students. We promote creativity and innovation that make the students think outside the box and come up with new methods. Through the integration of these elements, IICA prepares students to meet present requirements and also drive the direction of future trends.
Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
In our curriculum, there are multicultural perspectives that enable students and educators to learn about or introduce various cultures and prepare students for globalisation. Our support services are provided through a mentor and a counsellor who will assist students from different backgrounds to assimilate and perform well. We have cultural programs activity and awareness-raising activities for cultural diversity that take place to embrace the different aspects of culture. We also change our policies periodically to accommodate all the students in the classroom setting.

What do you think should be the IICA Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?
Over the next decade, we have to work on the further development of an inclusive platform for all students. The key objectives of this platform include establishing international connections, promoting environmental initiatives, fostering creativity and boosting public involvement. These areas will be of paramount importance so that IICA offers successful careers to the students.
What would you like people to know about your IICA institute they may not know?
In our academy, we offer various programs that are designed to meet the requirements of learners in the tenth or twelfth grades. We also offer courses that are built to suit students from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds and are meant equally for all financial strata, ensuring everybody will be able to get a quality education. These courses are structured to allow students to start earning a decent income in less time compared to full-time graduate programs.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
I have advice for youths and any person who wishes to be a student. Appreciate lifelong learning; have the desire to learn; and not lose this childlike attitude. One should not, however, consider education as being offered in the formal setting of a classroom. Cultivate resilience. This quality has proved that one must be elastic, keep hope alive and move on. Abide by ethical standards, as your character is your greatest wealth. Promote a growth mindset and get involved in the community and networking. Make well-being your priority and be proactive in seeking out opportunities.
What are some plans that you’re currently (or will be) designing for IICA students?
I'm excited about the numerous student-focused initiatives we are launching. We will be expanding our curriculum to include new interdisciplinary tech, culture, and sustainability topics. The college will be expanding study-abroad possibilities through student exchange programs. Career and entrepreneurship support will be provided by increasing the provision of career services and promoting and assisting student business activity through partnerships and internships. Digital learning schemes will focus on the development of superior technologies in the area of flexibility in online education. Community engagement will be promoted towards initiating programs on social responsibility and community intervention. These activities will be sought to build global competencies and dynamic careers for the IICA students.
