For GPAT 2026 applicants in the General, OBC, and EWS categories, the fee is set at ₹ 3,500, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD categories are required to pay ₹ 2,500.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has begun the registration window for GPAT 2026, inviting applications from pharmacy graduates aspiring to pursue M.Pharm courses.

Candidates must submit their forms through the NBEMS online portal and pay the prescribed examination fee according to their category. For applicants in the General, OBC, and EWS categories, the fee is ₹ 3,500, while candidates belonging to theSC, ST, and PWD categories are required to pay ₹ 2,500.

It is important to note that all payments for GPAT 2026 must be made via online modes such as UPI, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Furthermore, the fee is strictly non-refundable and cannot be adjusted or carried forward to any future examination cycles under any circumstances.

GPAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for GPAT 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) from a recognized university.
  • Current Students: Students appearing for their final year (4th year) in 2026 or their pre-final year (3rd year) in 2026 are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the result declaration deadlines for admission.
  • Ineligibility: Candidates with B.E. or B.Tech. degree in Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology is not eligible to apply.

GPAT 2026 Selection Process & Exam Scheme

The selection is based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) scheduled for March 7, 2026.

  • Exam Pattern: The test consists of 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed in 180 minutes.
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer earns 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response (25% negative marking).
  • Sectional Timing: The exam features time-bound sections. Candidates must complete each section within the allotted time before the system automatically moves to the next part.
