GATE 2026 result will be declared on March 19, 2026, at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can check their scores online and review the expected cut-off marks for IIT and NIT admissions.

The result date for GATE 2026 has been announced by IIT Guwahati, the conducting institute for the examination. As per the official notification, the results will be declared on March 19, 2026.
GATE 2026 was conducted for all 30 subject papers on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The GATE 2026 response sheet, answer key, and question papers have already been released on the GOAPS portal, @gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
GATE 2026 Marks Calculator Using Answer Key
After the release of the GATE 2026 answer key, candidates can estimate their tentative marks using the GATE Marks Calculator. By entering the number of correct and incorrect responses, the tool applies the official marking scheme to calculate an estimated score out of 100. This helps aspirants assess their performance and predict their chances of qualifying before the official results are announced.
GATE 2026 Qualifying Cut-Off Marks (Expected)
The final GATE 2026 cut-off will be released along with the results. However, the expected range can help candidates set a target score. Core branches like ME, CE, and EE usually see higher cut-offs due to strong competition.
Generally, there is a 10–12% gap between General and OBC/EWS categories and 30–35% for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Cut-offs may drop by 1–3 marks in a tougher exam and rise by 3–5 marks if the paper is easier.

If you’re aiming for M.Tech admission in IITs or NITs, your GATE score plays a major role. For top IITs and popular branches like CSE, Mechanical, and Electronics, competition is very high, so you usually need a higher score. For other IITs and NITs, the required score may be slightly lower depending on the branch and seat availability.
