GATE 2026 Exam Ends; Answer Key Soon, Result on March 19

The GATE 2026 examination was successfully conducted by IIT Guwahati for all 30 subject papers on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026. The national-level entrance test for MTech admissions was held in two shifts across multiple cities in India.

With the exam now over, candidates are eagerly waiting for the GATE 2026 provisional answer key, which is expected soon. As per the official schedule, the result will be declared on March 19, 2026.

The examination was held in two shifts each day. Final papers including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Architecture (AR), and Data Science & AI (DA) were conducted on the last day.

The authorities have not yet announced the official date. However, based on previous years’ trends, the provisional answer key is expected in the last week of February 2026.

Along with the answer key, candidates will also get access to:

• Master Question Papers
• Response Sheets

After the provisional key is released, an objection window will be opened. Candidates will be allowed to challenge any answer by paying the required fee. The final answer key will be published after reviewing all objections.

As per the official notification, the GATE 2026 result will be declared on March 19, 2026, and the scorecard will be available for download from March 27, 2026 onwards. Candidates must log in to the GOAPS portal using their Enrollment ID and Password to check their qualifying status and download the scorecard.

After the result declaration, qualified candidates can use their GATE score for MTech admissions in IITs, NITs and IIITs, apply for PSU recruitment through GATE, or seek PhD admissions in reputed institutes across India.

The detailed counselling and admission schedules will be announced separately by participating institutes. Candidates should regularly check the official website for updates on counselling registration and required documents.

How to Check GATE 2026 Result?

Follow the steps below:

1. Visit the official website.
2. Click on the GOAPS portal link.
3. Enter your Enrollment ID and Password.
4. Check your qualifying status.
5. Download and print the scorecard for future use.
