The application rectification period for GATE 2026 has been extended, giving aspirants extra editing time.

The correction window for the national-level entrance exam GATE 2026 has been officially extended, offering registered candidates additional days to amend their details.
Conducted by IIT Guwahati on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB) of the Ministry of Education, the exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026. Candidates now have until November 10, 2025 to make corrections at the official portal, ensuring their application information is accurate and up to date.
IIT Guwahati has officially revised the GATE 2026 application correction schedule, extending the deadline to November 10, 2025. Candidates can make changes to crucial information such as name, date of birth, category, gender, exam city, and selected paper during this extended window. Certain modifications may require an additional fee based on the field being updated.
With the entrance exam set to be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, aspirants must utilise this extra time to ensure their forms are accurate. To avoid any issues during admit card release and further admission stages, candidates should:
- Log in to the official portal and cross-check all personal and academic details.
- Make necessary corrections before the extended deadline to prevent application rejection.
- Save and download the updated application form for future reference.
