Karnataka Government Scholarships for OBC Students 2024, Registration, Last Dates, Stipend

• Class 1- 5: 750/- (Annually)
• Class 6- 8: 900/- (Annually)
• Class 9- 10: 1000/- (Annually)

• Students belonging to the Backward Class Categories (SC /ST/ OBC)
• The annual family income of the student should be less than INR 44,800.
• Students from Government / government-recognised aided/ unaided schools are eligible.
• Should have 75% attendance in the previous class.
• Students who have failed in the previous classes are not eligible.

• Scholarships given based on merit.

• Must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent Resident of Karnataka.
• Students in classes 11 and 12 of government / local body / Aided institution / Recognized unaided private institutions affiliated to the statutory universities of Karnataka are eligible for post-matric scholarships.
• Annual family income should be less than or equal to 1 lakh per annum.

• Students of the Backward Classes studying in a College/ University at UG or PG level.
• Should be studying in government / local Institutions / Aided Institutions / unaided recognised private institutions, affiliated to the statutory universities of Karnataka.
• Should be a Citizen of India and a Permanent Resident of Karnataka.
• The Annual Family Income should be less than 2.5 lakhs per annum for Category I. For Category 2A, 3A and 3B it should be less than 1 lakh per annum.
• The class attendance of the pupil should not be less than 75%.

• Income certificate issued by a competent authority (as directed by the Backward Classes Welfare Department.)

• INR 10,000/-: SSLC
• INR 15,000/-: IInd PUC
• INR 20,000/-: Degree / Master's Degree (General)
• INR 25,000/-: Professional Degree / Professional Masters Degree (Technical, Medical & Related Science)

• Students from the Backward Caste are eligible who are studying in recognized Universities / Subordinate Local Government institutions / subsidised institutions / accredited non-subsidised private institutions.
• The applicant should have scored 90% or above in the SSLC/ PUC/ Bachelor’s course/ Master’s Degree
• Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Karnataka.
• The Annual Family Income should be less than 2.5 lakhs per annum for Category I. For Category 2A, 3A and 3B it should be less than 1 lakh per annum.

• The applicant should have scored 90% or above in the SSLC. State PUC, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.

Last Date for Application for Session 2024

• The applicant should be a citizen of India and a Permanent resident of Karnataka.
• Should have completed his Graduation/ Post Graduation with at least 70% marks.
• The maximum age limit for the scholarship is:
• PhD/Research Students Maximum 27 Years below
• MS Students Maximum 25 Years Below
• The Annual Income of the Family of the Candidate should be 6 lakhs or above.
• Students taking Admission into a University which is included in the top 1000 Global University Ranking for the current year.
• Should have appeared and qualified in any one Entrance Test/Exam as given a)G-Mat b)TOEFL c)GRE d)IELTS e)SAT

• Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Karnataka.
• Must have secured at least 55% at the post-graduation level.
• Should belong to the list of Backward Classes as declared by the Government of India.
• Must be a student in full-time PhD in the statutory Universities / Subordinate Institutions of Karnataka.
• Maximum age should be 35 years.
• The Annual Income of the candidate should be within the limits set forth:
  • Category I: INR 4.5 lakhs per annum
  • Category 2: INR 3 lakhs
  • Category 3 (a) : INR 3 lakhs
  • Category 3 (b): INR 3.5 lakhs
