According to the revised fee structure, the BTech first-year fee has been increased by 3.70% i.e from INR 2.16 lakh to 2.24 lakh.

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) has decided to increase the fee for all first-year undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes from the academic session 2024-25. According to the revised fee structure, the BTech first-year fee has been increased by 3.70% i.e from INR 2.16 lakh to 2.24 lakh.

Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University Yogesh Sigh had approved the revised fee structure in June 2024. The fee for five-year integrated law programmes for the academic year has also been increased by 5%.

The fee has been increased from INR 1.90 lakh to INR 1.99 lakhs while the fee for the four-year integrated Teacher Education programme was replaced by B.El.Ed has been increased to INR. 57,400.

The revised fee structure for the PhD programme shows an increase of 60.22% hike in the overall fee with scholars set to pay INR.7,130 from the upcoming academic year as compared to the INR 4.450 fee submitted by students.

Delhi University has also raised several components of the fee structure including tuition fee, student welfare funds, development fees, facilities and service charges along with the Economically Weaker Section Support fund. The contribution share for the Delhi University Students Union has been removed from the revised fee structure.
