This applies to freeze candidates in the Bachelor of Science-Master of Science (BS-MS) and BS-MS with Centre for Data Sciences (BS-MS-CDS) programmes for 2026. The balance fee depends on the category of the candidate. The Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) already paid during counselling is adjusted. The remaining amount must be paid at the time of registration.

Who Are Freeze Candidates in IISER Counselling?

Freeze candidates are those who accepted their allotted campus and locked it. They will not be considered for any further upgrade in later rounds. This is why IISER Kolkata calls them first for on-campus registration.

Float candidates accepted the current seat but stayed open for upgrades. Their reporting dates will be shared once the later counselling rounds close.
