Bihar PGEAC 2026 Round 2 Rank Card Released; Counselling to Begin from August 10

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the Post Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (PGEAC) 2026 Round 2 rank card on the official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The second round counselling for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) programmes in Bihar government engineering colleges will begin on August 10, 2026.

Candidates who wish to participate in the second round must download the rank card using their PGEAC ID and date of birth. The board has issued two related notices, Adv. No. BCECEB(PGEAC)-2026/05 and 2026/06, both dated July 31, 2026, detailing the application procedure for this round.

Only candidates who have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are eligible to take part in the PGEAC counselling for M.Tech admissions in Bihar. The Round 2 process is meant for candidates who could not secure a seat in the first round and for newly registered candidates seeking a seat in the vacant positions.

Who Is Eligible for Round 2 Counselling?

The second round is open to fresh candidates as well as those from Round 1 who did not accept an allotted seat. Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and joined the institute cannot participate again. GATE qualification remains the mandatory academic requirement.

Reserved category candidates must belong to Bihar to claim category benefits. Candidates should carry all original documents such as the GATE scorecard, qualifying degree marksheets, category certificate, and residence proof at the time of reporting.
