Deccan College Pune to Celebrate National Sanskrit Day 2023 on Sep 6; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune is preparing to celebrate National Sanskrit Day on September 6, 2023. The institute will celebrate this day with a special program, featuring a screening of selected films from Sanskrit Bharati Award winners as part of the Sanskrit Short Film Competition.

The event will be honoured by the presence of Deccan College Vice Chancellor, Prof Pramod Pandey, who will commence the program. Neelima Patwardhan, Program Officer at Pune Akashvani, will serve as the Chief Guest and deliver a special lecture on 'Sanskrit and Broadcasting Media.’

Department Head and Vice-Chancellor of Deccan College, Prof. Prasad Joshi along with the teachers and students from the department will participate in this program. 

The program will take place at the Graduation Hall Department of Ancient India and Archaeology, Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, Deemed University, Yerwada, Pune from 11.30 AM to 1.00 PM on September 06, 2023.

The event will be open to all Sanskrit enthusiasts. The coordinator of the program will be Dr. Vrishali Bhosle, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit and Lexicography at Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute.

Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute is one of the oldest educational institutes in India. The college offers PG and PhD Programs to students in various specialisations to interested and eligible students. 

The college offers admission to its MA degree program on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. PhD and MPhil seats are offered through an entrance test conducted by the college or a valid score in NET/SET/ MPhil/JRF Entrance exams.
