Change in JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Dates Due To Clash with CBSE Class 12 Board Exams

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam dates and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII are overlapping on the same days in April's first week. Due to this, NTA has received representations from a few candidates mentioning that their Class XII Board Examinations are coinciding with the JEE (Main) Examination date slot allotted to them.

This has been considered in order to facilitate the candidates so that they can write their Board Exams and the JEE(Main) Examination as well, and it has been decided to allot another Examination Date Slot to the candidates.

The revised exam date of the JEE (Main)-2025, Session-2 examination for such candidates is hosted on the NTA website and can be downloaded using the login credentials on the website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in, effective 28 March 2025. The public notice was released regarding this. 

What to Do if The JEE Main and CBSE Date Clash?

If any candidate whose JEE (Main) 2025 Session-2 examination date is coinciding with the Class XII board examination has been left out, he/she is requested to inform NTA through his/her registered email ID at jeemain@nta.nic.in along with

• A copy of the Admit Card issued by the respective Examination Board for Class XII examination
• JEE (Main)-2025 Session -2 Examination City Intimation Slip by 05:00 P.M. on 29 March 2025 positively.

One CBSE class XII candidate who has a Bengali exam on April 2 said, "If I appear for the Bengali exam, then I have to sacrifice JEE Main. This is really a big dilemma for me because Session 2 is equally important for me, but I can't skip the Bengali exam."

Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir Principal Arun Dasgupta said, "There are some students who came to us with the application addressing the issue that we forwarded to the CBSE and NTA too. We are waiting to get a reply from them."

JEE Main 2025 Exam Schedule

The National Testing Agency is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2025 Session 2 at different Centers located in various cities throughout the country and 15 cities outside India as per the following details:

Both authorities had decided this in an online meeting on Wednesday with all the city CBSE exam coordinators and the National Testing Agency (NTA).
