You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
I have been dedicated to teaching since childhood, as it is a genetic gift. My father is a teacher as well as a poet, and my grandfather was a poet as well. Hence, teaching was in my blood. I felt the deprivation of devotion and morality during my teaching and clinical life. I felt that I might fulfill the shortfall a bit, at least by educating my students about the necessity of devotion to their jobs and lives. So, I promised myself to start an institution where education would be delivered to the students with moral knowledge.
Being the Chairperson at Divine, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
With love and compassion, and offering time-to-time rewards. If necessary, then punishment is also necessary. I treat students as well as the teaching staff as my children and make sure that they understand what and why we are doing this. At times, when the situation gets worse, I resort to some sort of punishment for them to learn from.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the Institution and the students are?
All Administration of the College .
General administration and overall supervision of teaching programmes.
Supervision of students welfare, health and security during their stay at college and hostel.
Supervision and guidance of teaching and non-teaching staff.
Responsibility for organizing workload of staff including teaching assignments.
Guidance and counselling of students.
Administrative arrangements for students’ internships in hospitals.
Recruitment of staff and admission of students.
Responsibility for conduct of examinations.
Supervision of living conditions of students in hostels.
Maintenance of records of students.
Helping Students in providing 100% support for Placement.

When you first started Divine, what was your vision for the Institution?
When I was working in different organizations, people used to love me because I was using an unorthodox method of caring for the patients. While it was very much liked by the patients, I was usually mocked by my colleagues. I realized I could not be everywhere at once, but what if I could? Hence, I started this institution to share my experience in handling patients so everyone could experience what I wanted to share.
What do you see as Divine’s greatest strengths?
Spirituality is our greatest strength, along with our students and our faculty. We nurture them as our own. It is important to understand what sector we are working in and why spirituality is important to our progress as better humans working for the betterment of mankind.
How did Divine operate during COVID 19 and what strategies were formulated and used to keep education ongoing?
During COVID, it was a grave time. We let the students join as many hospitals as staff to help with the ongoing pandemic, and they gained huge amounts of knowledge both practically and mentally. Education was mostly limited to online mediums. We gave them the study materials and other lectures, and they would take weekly classes at the end of the week to know their progress.
Any advice you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?
As human beings, we have to learn universal love for everyone. Only we can serve anyone to prevent and cure diseases and all kinds of problems. First, be a human being, then be a healthcare provider. It will lead you to be a strong leader in life. Money and position will come spontaneously.
