Professor Dr. Sudha Kumari Jha is the Director/Principal of the Ganga Global Institute of Management Studies. With 32 years of work experience, from college to University & Ministry at the level of National to international. She holds a PhD in Social Welfare from V.K.S.U. She hold the positions of Principal, Director Distance Education and Dean Academics in two different Universities: VMSU & ICFAI in Sikkim.

She was selected to go under the training for Visionary Leadership for development sponsored by Packard Foundation.

What is your educational philosophy as a Director/Principal?

As a Director/Principal, I strongly believe in creating a learning environment that revolves around the needs of the students. My educational philosophy is based on developing academic excellence, personal growth, and a sense of community. I believe that education has no boundary of area, culture or time. For success in the real world continuous learning, understanding changes & adaptation is the base.

Having a clear educational philosophy is crucial for my role as a Director/Principal. It guides me in making decisions those priorities the needs of students, teachers, and the local community as a whole. My decisions are always geared towards improving students learning outcomes and creating a positive college culture.

To implement my educational philosophy, I prioritize promoting teacher collaboration, utilizing research-based instruction, and providing professional development opportunities. Additionally, I strive to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Effective communication is essential in conveying my educational philosophy to all parties involved. I ensure that I regularly engage in open and transparent communication with teachers, parents, and students through newsletters, meetings, and various platforms. Moreover, I strongly encourage feedback and input from all stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard, and their needs are addressed.

They are responsible for managing the college’s budget, resources, and facilities. Moreover, they are responsible for the hiring, evaluation, and support of teachers and staff members. The Director/Principal establishes and enforces college policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. Additionally, they collaborate with parents, community members, and other stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and partnerships.


How does a Director/Principal promote student achievement?

Director/Principals set high academic standards and expectations for students and provide support to help them reach their full potential. They implement effective teaching strategies and curricula to enhance student learning. Director/Principals monitor student progress and analyses data to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate interventions.
