Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) Patna University is now inviting applications for Admission to various UG and PG Courses for 2020-21 Academic Session. In Undergraduate Courses, candidates willing to apply for 3-Years BCA, B.A. (Honours) in Ancient Indian History, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology,  Statistics, Urdu, B.Com (Honours) (Accounts) & 1-Year Bachelor of Library and Information can apply before December 30, 2020. While in the Postgraduate category Patna University Admissions are open for 1-Year P. G. Diploma in Journalism, P. G. Diploma in Financial Management, P. G. Diploma in Marketing Management, P. G. Diploma in Operations Management courses. The last date Patna University Distance Admissions have been extended to December 30, 2020.

Directorate of Distance Education which is affiliated to Patna University was founded in 1974 with aim of providing higher education through correspondence and distance learning methods to such persons, who though possessing necessary educational qualifications, were unable to join any regular college.

It offers various bachelor and masters courses in B.A. / B.Com. (Hons), BCA, Bachelor of library & information Science (BLIS), PG Diploma in Journalism, PG Diploma in Financial Management, PG Diploma in Marketing Management and PG Diploma in Operations Management.

Admission is done on the basis of merit in 10+2 for bachelor and for master it based on bachelor degree.
