What is the vision and mission of Skybird Aviation in terms of providing education and preparing students for the future?

The main focus is to provide quality education, reliability, safety, and innovation and prepare our students for the futuristic environment. We make the students focus more on practical learning by engaging them in various activities.

What steps have you taken to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among students?

We conduct events and other co-curricular activities on campus to motivate and bring the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. We always encourage the students to participate in various events which enables them to spirit of entrepreneurship.

What will you say are the “best practices” in the course you’re offering ?

Apart from classroom training, we conduct mock sessions, soft skills sessions, and grooming to raise student confidence and improve overall personality development. Recognizing the significance of a well-groomed and confident individual, we integrate grooming sessions into our curriculum. These sessions not only refine appearance but also instill self-assurance and professionalism. By fostering comprehensive personality development, we empower our students not only with technical expertise but also with the interpersonal skills and confidence needed to excel in their chosen fields.

What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/ dept.?

To make each training session interesting, we first conduct practical classes, and arrange airport visits which in turn motivates and builds confidence among students. By integrating practical exposure and site visits into our training approach, we not only make learning more engaging but also empower students with a deeper comprehension of their future roles.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Along with the course/ program we offer, we encourage them to assess the aviation field by giving live project work/dissertations.The students will be participating in industry real projects which will make them future-ready.

How did you train yourself/ faculty to deliver this program to the students?

As a Chairman, I have good exposure about aviation industry and I attend all the seminars and programs while our faculties will be trained after that. Furthermore, I prioritize the continuous professional development of our faculties by ensuring their active participation in relevant training programs subsequent to these industry events.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

We, as an educational institute and a ground handling agency will sign contractual agreements with different airlines, we visit Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), HAL, Jakkur Aerodrome very often to maintain good industrial relations.

How does your institution ensure that teachers stay up-to-date with new technologies and teaching methods to enhance the quality of education?

All our trainers are well qualified and well trained, however, we arrange them refresher training every six months to stay up to date with the current technology.While our trainers are already well qualified and adept in their respective fields, we recognize the dynamic nature of technology. To stay ahead, we organize refresher training sessions every six months. These sessions serve as invaluable opportunities for our trainers to update their skills, stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, and refine their teaching methodologies.

What do you found most difficult being a chairman?

Being a Chairman is not easy but I welcome challenges as I can convert into opportunities.In every challenge lies the potential for growth, and as Chairman, I am committed to turning challenges into opportunities that propel both the organization and its members to new heights.

Any insights or advice you would like to give current youth or aspiring students?

Our current youth are going to rulers of the future generation, so we always support them to fulfil their dreams in career and succeed in life. We will guide them to be goal oriented, future focussed, service-oriented and disciplined Indian citizens. We always encourage them to build confidence in themselves with various activities.
