Mr. D Ramesh is a HOD of the Saveetha College of Architecture and Design, Chennai. He has an overall 15 years of experience in the Film and Television industry. He did Film Studies at Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nādu, Taramani, Chennai with a specialization in Cinematography. He worked in the capacity of Director of Photography for Five South Indian [Tamil, Telugu] Films And 75 Advertisement Films. To name a few, Ghajini, Manmadhan, Pidichirukku and Aachi Masala Product Series. His article on Camera Sensor and its Application in DSLR Cinematography is published with CANON INDIA. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience on Photography, Digital Cinematography, Film Making, and Television Production. He has conducted workshops related to Photography, and Digital Cinematography for various universities in Tamil Nadu. His aim is to do a Research on the Advanced Application of Sensors in Nano DSLR Cameras.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

Our faculty members have real-time industry and teaching experience. Both the skills are must to groom the students to get a better outcome. Hence, we don’t find issues on implementing the latest happenings in the industry.

Students do the Internal Practical activities first. Followed by the external Internship Program in the industry. The topics of our core projects are filmmaking, cinematography & photography practices, Screenplay writing and Post Production techniques.
