Being the director, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

It is a good question and in this academic administration, we have to run the department or university collectively where we have to consider individual’s issues and problems and take everyone at the same time. I am a senior person who makes decisions but we have to consider all as a team.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

The things which keep me connected to this education sector are my interests, my hard work, and my capability level. I still study at this age and grab knowledge about different things and these all keep me connected with the education sector. One should have the willpower to achieve something then he/she can get success automatically.

How does the CPS curriculum ensure the industry's best practices?

The curriculum in CPS is designed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It consists of theories, practicals, industry oriented programs, and for this, we have many collaborations with the pharma industry and we send students for practical training and engage students with many projects.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities are to the college and the students?

To become a role model to the students it is very important that when they learn something from me, they should feel that they are getting inspiration from me. And here we see the psychology of the students and their concepts, motivations, thinking, desire, and many things we have to see because in this era students are very confused and need good guidance. So, to keep them on track we have to understand them.

When you first came to CPS, what was your vision for the college?

CPS Puri is an old college, and my vision is to improve the college’s academics and bring the college on a good track. Organizing events and seminars and programs for the benefit of both teachers and students.

What would like people to know about your college that they may not know?

First of all, the administration of any college should focus on the strength of the college, yes of course weaknesses are also there that people know. Any college is known for its academic and co-curricular activities so, the quality of education and other activities should be in a proper manner.

What do you see as CPS’s greatest strengths?

CPS’s greatest strength is the principal, faculties, and management where they maintain discipline and curriculum in the college.

Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

As per UGC for AICTE norms gender sensitization or equal opportunity are there. So, for either gender, male or female there is no discrimination, and every student from different races and economic backgrounds are welcome to CPS Puri.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

Nowadays students do not want to do hard work, they want everything quickly like a degree. My suggestion is that the students should be honest, hard work, and obedient, and they should build their foundation very strong and should be focused on the area where they are getting success.
