Dr. Devyani Rawat is the director of Nalanda College of Education. For her academic qualifications, she has obtained a BA(LLB.), LL.M & Ph.D. She has qualified for UGC NET as well. She has worked as a Lawyer at Gurgaon District Court and a Freelance Legal Researcher at the Centre of Transparency and Accountability in Governance, National Law University Delhi. Moreover, she is working as a Freelance Research Expert with ANUSHRAM.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Most teachers take great satisfaction in knowing that they are shaping the future of their students. The impact teachers have on our students is immeasurable, and they often act as important motivators. Teachers love their subjects deeply. Education inspires a new generation to share this passion with others and appreciate it. The world of education continues to evolve with new pedagogical strategies, technological advances, and research findings. Many education professionals value this continuous growth and learning. Schools and educational institutions are often community centers. Participation in education often means having a direct impact on the well-being and future of society.


Being the Director of Nalanda college of education. what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

Leadership style prioritizes the needs of the team and emphasizes leaders who serve their employees to help them grow and develop. Leaders inspire and motivate their teams through a shared vision and create a culture of innovation and change. This is more than the traditional manager-employee relationship, where rewards and punishments are used as motivational tools.


Being the Director of Nalanda College of Education, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

Understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing the organization. Identify what other organizations are doing, the programs they are offering and the value propositions they are presenting. We should increase student enrollment and enhance the reputation of the organization. Promoting innovation in education will ensure that the college/university has a consistent and recognizable brand across all content and platforms. Using social media, SEO and online advertising to reach potential students and stakeholders must be of great help. Engaging alumni as brand ambassadors, as their success stories will provide credibility. Regularly produce articles, research papers, webinars and more to showcase the organization's leadership. We should allow prospective students to experience the campus and culture firsthand and engage the local community through events, workshops and educational initiatives.


What Do you think your roles and responsibilities to the college and the students are?

My role and responsibilities for the college and students include strategic leadership and representing the university. Defining the concept and ensuring effective implementation important to me. It must ensure the highest academic standards of excellence through research, innovation and developing a culture of quality education In addition, must ensure public welfare and student success by providing an inclusive learning environment.


What do you think should be the college's top priority over the next 10 years?

College’s main priority is to get an education and research. Our main strategy is to recruit exceptional teachers and remain for decades. Experienced teachers can bring dramatic changes in our educational ecosystem. We plan to deliver a large income from research and consulting. This will change our holistic approach to projects and research-based learning.


When you first came to Nalanda College, what was your vision for the college? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?

We are an innovative value-based college system that destroys education and the traditional education system. We follow design thinking, an innovation-oriented modern learning approach to laboratory work, an advanced credit system and an intensive collaboration industry. It provides great opportunities for development to students, faculty and staff. It provides all the modern facilities needed for the best possible studies and research. This respects the talent of students and teachers and encourages innovation.
