She holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce from Osmania University and a Master’s Degree in Management with Finance specialization from Dr. B.R.A.O.U, Hyderabad. She has teaching experience of almost 13 years. She worked with ICFAI National College, Hyderabad as a faculty member and Course Coordinator (MBA). She also gained experience as a Summer Internship Coordinator and Placement In charge during her service at ICFAI. She participated in some national and International seminars. Her areas of interest include Financial Management, Costing, Management Accounting, Project Management, Investment Management, Financial Institutions Markets and Services, and Management Control Systems. She completed her Ph.D. in the area of HRM from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

I prepare myself for the course by doing rigorous research on the concepts and their application in the related areas of finance. Read more research reports, and articles and watch videos to enhance knowledge, learn the usage of advanced tools for research and transfer the same to the classroom to augment the research acumen of the scholars. More focus on application rather than theory. The same is being imparted to other faculty during meetings and is also implemented by them while teaching the courses.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

Arrange orientation programs that provide awareness about FPM for the executives working in the industry and who would like to continue working in the industry in diverse roles as consultants, trainers and researchers. This programme also helps candidates advance in their current career paths. Guest lectures from industry to help scholars understand the real-life practices in the industry and thus help in identifying the research areas and also collaboration with industry. Invite participation from the industry as guests to the seminars organized for scholars so as to understand /get inputs from them on the practical/application aspects, and understand the implications to the industry.

What are the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

We are facing challenges in terms of delivery of the curriculum i.e. pedagogical tools, syllabus, books, specialization papers, components of internal evaluation, examination pattern, rigor in the question paper and data sources.

Performance management in the Pharma sector, sustainable finance at Axis Bank, Talent acquisition, impact of exports on GDP of India.
