New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya marked significant milestones in healthcare infrastructure during his visit to Madhya Pradesh. In Indore, he inaugurated the CDSCO Sub Zonal office and CDTL while initiating various facilities in AIIMS Bhopal. He emphasized the government's vision of establishing AIIMS-like institutions nationwide, with 17 opened in the past decade, totaling 23 across India.
At AIIMS Bhopal, Dr. Mandaviya inaugurated six new health facilities, including a pioneering Drone Station, Dexa Scan Suit, Gym Complex, Trauma and emergency Operation Theatre Complex, and the first-in-India Cobas 5800 System for Viral Load Assay. Additionally, a Private Ward Complex with 16 fully furnished rooms was introduced. He underscored AIIMS Bhopal's pivotal role in providing comprehensive health services and setting clinical protocols and reference standards benchmarks.
Moreover, the Health Minister's initiatives extended beyond Indore and Bhopal. He unveiled numerous crucial facilities in Madhya Pradesh, including 190 Pharmaceutical Industries, 55 WHO-GMP Complied Manufacturing Units, 163 Blood Centres, 12 Manufacturing Units with Written Confirmation, 12 Large Volume Parenteral Units, 9 Private Drugs Testing Laboratories, a Vaccine Manufacturing Unit, and a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Facility in Pithampur.
Dr. Mandaviya commemorated the 75th Foundation Day of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, emphasizing the government's commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring quality medical services across regions. His visit marked a substantial leap in enhancing healthcare accessibility, fostering advanced medical technologies, and expanding healthcare facilities in Madhya Pradesh.
All About the CDSCO and CDTL Partnership
Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the pivotal role of the CDSCO Sub-Zonal office in maintaining pharmaceutical standards and facilitating the ease of doing business for Madhya Pradesh's pharmaceutical stakeholders. The CDSCO and CDTL at CDSCO Bhawan in Indore will regulate drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices, ensuring compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts for patient safety and welfare.
The Central Drug Testing Laboratory has advanced facilities like 12 HPLCs, 1 GLC, 1 UV Spectrophotometer, and other instruments. These cutting-edge tools ensure stringent testing of medicine samples following standardized procedures. This setup guarantees access to essential, high-quality medicines, thereby contributing to the overall health improvement of the citizens, both in Madhya Pradesh and across the nation.
