Ahmedabad University Signs MoU with IFSCA for Collaborative Research


New Delhi: Ahmedabad University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA). The Pact was signed at the Infinity Forum 2.0 at GIFT city.

As a result of the pact, Ahmedabad University and IFSCA will work together to promote talent development, research and startups support. Both of the participating organisations will engage in conducting evidence-based policy research to aid policy formulation and in monitoring the thematic areas of interest, along with further networking with other institutions to develop a knowledge ecosphere in the country in the areas of financial products and services.

IFSCA will also help VentureStudio - Ahmedabad University’s startup incubator to launch ventures and programmes support startups working on deep tech innovation in the field of climate fintech.

Green Fintech Accelerator Launced

Green Fintech Accelerator was launched as the first initiative of this partnership. It aims to support green FinTech Startups from diverse subcategories such as Green and Sustainable Financing, Green Investments, Impact Traceability, Disaster and Climate Risk Management, Green Transition etc.

The Green FinTech Cohort Programme is a week-long, deep dive, residential programme specifically designed to support early stage Green FinTech startups. The programme allows its participants to understand the FinTech industry, connect with Green FinTech experts, understand basic building blocks of innovative and scalable business models, and get personalised mentoring support. The week-long bootcamp ends in a demo day where the participating startups will pitch their ideas to next stage FinTech investors. Startups will be incubated at VentureStudio and will continue to receive support from the centre post programme completion.
