- The facilities at the university are very modern - labs and buildings.
- The university is very helpful and supportive to international students making students feel at home.
- The location of my university was very central - the city centre was very close, the beach and other local places as well.

- My university had multiple campuses - Talbot and Lansdowne - commuting between these campuses was a bit hectic.
- The cost of living in Bournemouth was a bit high as it was a tourist hub.
- Although the placement support was provided, the competition was a bit high and it was difficult to find placement for most of the students.
- I had opted for off-campus accommodation. I had a friend who lived in Bournemouth and he helped me get accommodation in the same building he was staying in – Douglas towers.
- I paid around 500 GBP (including bills) for my accommodation.
- I did not have any issues in getting the accommodation, as i had a friend who helped me secure a place in the same building as him.
- I would recommend the students get the accommodation provided by the university so that they live with fellow students and it would help in their academics.
- My accommodation was 5 km from the university. I commuted by cycle most of the time. Indian students stayed in the university-provided accommodations.

- Academics. The professors are very helpful
- Motivating environment where studying is made super fun.
- Research foundation. There are lots of opportunities for research.

- The fees could be a lesser but it is not a big disadvantage.
- Dutch language is required for some jobs so it would always be helpful to learn the language
- The weather can be challenging at times.
- Around 40–60 percent of students find it easy to get a job in the Netherlands or other parts of Europe with a few months of searching. Most of the students are well equipped to find a job in their home country, if not in the Netherlands.
- The average range of salary could go from 50,000 to 90,000 euros in a year. Students find jobs at a higher rate through networking and building good contacts. LinkedIn and other websites work as well.

- Accepting of different people: they value equality and inclusion as priority
- Their focus on innovative research, encouraging student inputs, and helping us think critically.
- Their commitment to sustainability.

- There are a lot of places where Dutch fluency is required, even in settings where international students would also benefit (such as a career fair).
- There seems to be some preference for EU students over non-EU ones for jobs, internships, etc.
- The Dutch students and international students rarely mingle, and there are not many opportunities to do so either.
- The VU was very kind and offered to look for accommodation for us in the very elusive housing market in the Netherlands.
- They asked us to pay a very steep fee though, but listed accommodation for us through a third-party source.
- My recommendation is to start looking as early as possible on multiple sites, since it is VERY difficult to find a house here.

- I was interested to do a course in Netherland because my brother lives there and a course in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This was the only course fulfilling my requirements.
- Vrije Universiteit English translation is free University. It was a free University in terms of discipline. We could drink or eat anything during classes. No compulsion on attendance. We can wear shorts. We can move in and move out anytime during class. The canteen had good food options as well.
Dislikes
- That it doesn't have a clinical master program in physiotherapy. Apart from that I liked everything about the university. Also expensive for international students but less expensive than UK and USA. Moreover, you will enjoy studying at the university.
Overall the experience in terms of life at University as a student was amazing. But getting a job during and after is an issue because of first, higher language requirements being in health care sector.
