What Students Say
Likes
- I was interested to do a course in Netherland because my brother lives there and a course in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This was the only course fulfilling my requirements.
- Vrije Universiteit English translation is free University. It was a free University in terms of discipline. We could drink or eat anything during classes. No compulsion on attendance. We can wear shorts. We can move in and move out anytime during class. The canteen had good food options as well.
Dislikes
- That it doesn't have a clinical master program in physiotherapy. Apart from that I liked everything about the university. Also expensive for international students but less expensive than UK and USA. Moreover, you will enjoy studying at the university.
Overall the experience in terms of life at University as a student was amazing. But getting a job during and after is an issue because of first, higher language requirements being in health care sector.
Course Curriculum
The course is good for those who wanna pursue research further. Curriculum is all about how to do a research in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Academics- the staff is well cooperative and professional.
Faculty
There were professors for each subject along with tutors. I am not sure about the ratio. The faculty and staff were extremely supportive. Everyone was well versed with their subject and were too friendly. All staff members have an incredible impact on me. They have impressed me with their thorough knowledge and friendliness.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. Sports is given a prime importance in Netherland in general. There is a supermarket and a restaurant on campus plus a canteen.
Placement
It is difficult to get a job after the course. It's a lot of struggle and then we are short of visa.
Accommodation
Accommodation was the best. Accommodation was 10 mins bicycle ride from University. It had a cafes, restaurant, supermarket, sports and arts centrum. Best life ever at Uilenstede( accommodation name).
Exams
I had to do Pre-Master program which included Maths and MATLAB. The exams were online and after passing it, I got admitted. We need minimum of 6/10 ECTS. A motivation letter was needed to be submitted. It needs to include what motivates you to take a physiotherapy course, what motivates you to study abroad and at this particular University.
Fees
It was £14,600 per year.
