• According to last year's stats, around 90 % secured a job or Phd positions to study further; the average salary is around 50 - 60k euros.

The highest I have seen is for 70,000 euros/year for a person holding 7 years of experience, and the least was 35,000 euros/year for a fresher.

• You can apply online on your university website or you can use Facebook Marketplace, but beware, as scams happen on Facebook. There are multiple WhatsApp groups as well where people offer short-term or long-term accommodations. But according to my experience, in the initial days, always book student accommodation, as finding homes from India would be difficult or your housemates might not be according to your liking and you might end up shifting multiple times.
• Few websites for student accommodations are aparto, nido, hugo, point campus (these are the off-campus student accommodation slightly on higher side.)

• Around 80–90% of graduates from my program secure a job within 6 months of completing the course. The average salary range for data science and computational roles is between 35,000 and 40,000 euros for freshmen, and if you have experience, it might range between 40,000 and 50,000 euros annually.
• Most students find jobs through career portals like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed and Irishjobs and through networking events like career events at UCD. The highest could go up to 70,000 euros and the lowest would be around 32,000 euros per annum for entry-level positions.

• I used Amber Student to find my student accommodation, they helped me to know every detail of it. But there are more platforms like Cassata and University living. Not having anyone here to personally search and visit is a challenge I faced. I would recommend to ask someone who lives there to give proper visits and verify the property as there are scams taking place.

• My professors stated that this course opens up a lot of opportunities in tech, analytics, etc. Students from the previous batch are placed in a wide range of companies, with one student ending up in the United Nations.
• The average salary depends on the work experience and profile and could be approximately from 38000 and 60000 euros.

• With an ongoing crisis in Ireland, it is extremely difficult to find an accommodation that provides value for money. Though websites like daft.ie could be helpful sometimes, most people rely on Facebook/Whatsapp groups, which pose a risk of getting scammed.
• I would recommend finding a connection who would help you view properties to see if they are legitimate to avoid getting scammed. It is best to prefer student accommodations that provide end-to-end services or shared apartments.

No campus placements available. Job fairs will be conducted - shortlist your company and apply. Average time to job offer after graduation will be around 6-7 months ( 80% placement rate in 6-7 months) Salary is subjected to role and company.

Good presence and respect in Ireland. Good campus atmosphere and events. Professors are supportive, no negative points as such apart from hostel rentals.

It is fairly good in the year 2024 as the market is hiring currently and is in need of more and more individuals with good skills.

I live in a student accommodation that sums up to 1200 euros each month which includes accommodation/gym/common areas

The job-fairs and companies which come for placements will begin in October, but I've gotten several positive reviews on how UCD helps students with their placement support.

I would define my overall experience as satisfactory. I wasn't too overwhelmed by the experience, as it is exactly what I expected, yet there were some things which were really surreal for me.

It is very much possible that every single graduate would land a great job as most of the courses (at least at the postgraduate level) are designed by Industry experts; therefore, getting a job may not be difficult, at least for engineering graduates.

Again, it is one of the best places around the globe to pursue your studies, regardless of your educational and research background.

UCD offers very good placement opportunities. You will get internship opportunity in your 3rd sem, which when you perform well, you can get absorbed into the company as full time employee. Companies like Medtronic, Resmed, MSD, GSK, Thermofisher scientific offer internship opportunities. I was lucky to get direct employment at Viatris ( Former Mylan) before my graduation.
