- The visual arts course offers students the opportunity to gain basic experience and skills in the diversity of today's art in order to take an individual artistic path. In terms of expression, the course is oriented to all areas of life. The diversity of the artistic positions and focus is the starting point of the teaching.
- The course, which comprises a total of ten semesters, consists of a two-semester basic course and the subsequent course in the specialist classes. After passing the final exam, a certificate of completion of a successful university artistic degree is issued, which corresponds to a master's degree. After completing their studies, particularly gifted students can be appointed master students.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
For this course, students need one of the following degrees or certificates:
- General University Entrance Qualification
- Professional qualification (studying without a high school diploma)
- TestDaf: Level 4 in all sub-exams
- Goethe certificate: level C2 in all module parts
- Telc German: C1 university
- German language diploma of the Conference of Ministers of Education: DSD II with continuous level C1 in all areas
- German language test for university admission (DSH) at a registered university: The DSH is divided into three stages. The DSH-2 is required to start studying. There is an exception for the artistic courses (visual arts, visual communication, and product design). Only DSH-1 is required for this: Proof of language proficiency for admission to study at the art college.
