The Bachelor's degree in Business Administration conveys the substantive and methodological basics of business administration. The students acquire specialist knowledge and skills in order to recognize the business contexts in professional fields of activity and to work independently and problem-oriented according to scientific aspects. The degree in business administration primarily prepares students for commercial activities in industrial and service companies.

There are no tuition fees at the University of Duisburg-Essen. All students are, however, subject to a student body and social contribution fee per semester.
The social and student body contribution for the winter semester 2021 amounts to a total of $387.43.
The amount is made up as follows:
- Mobility contribution (ticket): $253.41, of which $183.94 for the VRR semester ticket and $69.47for the NRW ticket
- Social contribution for the Studierendenwerk: $114.98
- Student body fee: $19.04.
The social and student body contribution is not to be paid before enrollment! Students will be informed about the payment modalities upon registration.
