Field of Study:
- The aim of the course is to convey a systematic orientation as well as the substantive and methodological foundations of business administration, economics, and business education and their didactics.
- The students acquire specialist knowledge and skills in order to recognize the economic relationships in professional teaching or management fields, to work independently, problem-oriented and interdisciplinary according to scientific aspects, and to impart them in school and extracurricular areas.
- The Bachelor's degree in business education is primarily intended to prepare students for teaching positions in initial commercial training and advanced training.

There are no tuition fees at the University of Duisburg-Essen. All students are, however, subject to a student body and social contribution fee per semester.
The social and student body contribution for the winter semester 2021 amounts to a total of $387.43. However, the social and student body contribution for the summer and winter semesters of 2021 amounts to a total of $774.86 per year.
The amount is made up as follows:
- Mobility contribution (ticket): $253.41, of which $183.94 for the VRR semester ticket and $69.47for the NRW ticket
- Social contribution for the Studierendenwerk: $114.98
- Student body fee: $19.04.
The social and student body contribution is not to be paid before enrollment! Students will be informed about the payment modalities upon registration.
