- The bachelor's degree is designed to last 6 semesters. It includes a core course of 4 semesters and an advanced course of 2 semesters, which is completed with a bachelor's thesis. A successfully completed bachelor's degree qualifies for a further master's degree. The bachelor's program "Applied Computer Science - Systems Engineering" is completed with the academic title Bachelor of Science (BSc).
- The bachelor's program "Applied Computer Science - Systems Engineering" aims at an application-oriented and practice-oriented education for the different areas of activity in the field of computers, internet, software and e-business, whereby the basics in the field of mathematics and theoretical computer science are tailored to the requirements of a demanding course of study are. In addition, there is communication technology knowledge and skills from the fields of computer science, business informatics and business administration. This qualifies the graduates for the interface functions that are becoming increasingly important in business, in which information and communication technology aspects have to be considered together with engineering, economic and organizational boundary conditions. From the very first semester, the students work practically with the latest technologies and, over the course of their studies, get to know common software tools for the various tasks. With the optional specializations Network Systems Engineering and Software Systems Engineering, the entire spectrum from network infrastructure to operational application systems is covered.
