The MA Anthropology of the Americas offers a continuation of the regional expertise in the fields of historical-archaeological and ethnological research in Latin America. In addition to broadening existing methodological skills and expanding on research interests, the MA program offers introductions to the research of ancient American writing systems (especially Maya hieroglyphic writing) and the analysis of indigenous written sources.
