- Mechatronics describes the sensible interplay of mechanics, electronics and IT. Even today's products are inconceivable without the intermeshing of these once separate disciplines.
- Various examples of such products and solutions can be found in the automotive sector (safety concepts around the airbag, ABS and various stability programs).
- Other branches of the industry also benefit from the miniaturization possibilities of modern technology.
