  • Many students do part-time jobs and study along with them because everyone wants to be independent. Probably 60% to 70% of students get these jobs in around 6 months. Average salary ranges around 10 to 16 euros.
  • Students typically get jobs through senior students who do jobs. The lowest salary is 10 euros per hour.

  • Usually the search method is online or via groups on social media or if anyone you know is residing there, this process will be very easy. There are many challenges, such as fake advertisements and scams; be aware of them.
  • Always ask for contracts before the final steps, and try to get along with your batchmates and share an apartment; it will be cost-effective.

  • I don't know much related to full-time jobs because I am in my first year of college but there are no placements from college; you have to find jobs on your own. U have to apply through LinkedIn or you can directly apply to companies and give an interview. Colleges can only prefer your CV to some companies but you have to do most of the work.

  • There is no scope for people who don’t know German. It will be very difficult to get a job.
  • The chances of landing a job within 6 months without knowing German is 0. A fresher can expect 45k once he graduates. He has to apply through linkedIn, career websites, indeed, stepstone.de etc.
  • My batchmates had worst experience in finding a job without language no one got a job they went back to India. Major companies don’t hire graduates veryone accepts some form of experience.

  • I got my accommodation through housinganywhere just searched for nice private room and got the apartment paid around 750 euro monthly, all facilities included, There was no challenge.
  • I would recommend students to use housinganywhere. My place was near to university it was 20 minutes ride. I didn’t interact with indian students so I don’t know popular locations.

  • 96% students get job within 6 months, as mentioned on the official website
  • Average salary: Around 30-40k Euros (straight out of college)
  • You'll have to apply for the interviews and positions by yourself.
  • To be truthful, I have no idea about the maximum and minimum salaries

I searched a lot for accommodations and finally found various groups on social media sites via which I rented a shared apartment with 2 of my friends. Please be aware of the scams and false apartment videos that are made to loot you. Always ask for a Legal Contract before finalising.

* The placements are pretty good for this university as, it has tie-ups with various big multinationals such as Salesforce, Zalando etc. We regularly have career events, where HRs of these companies interact with the students. Usually, on average a student is placed within 6 months after finishing the studies. One can find various alumni on portals such as LinkedIn who are currently working in big companies at higher posts. It is recommended to connect with them, which helps in the long run. Mostly students get an average package of 50000-60000 Euro per annum after completing their Masters.

For the application, you need to submit your application on the university's website. On the website, you have to enter your every detail such as 10th, and 12th Graduation percentage and IELTS score. After getting selected one has to send the notarized copy of the transcripts, College Degree, Medium of Instruction letter from the graduation college,10th and 12th board mark sheet and certificate, to the college via post. I prepared for the IELTS exam from free resources on Google and youtube.

Looking at the current job market, the placement is pretty tough due to Corona and companies financial situation. But if you're talented enough, and you have good skills in your relevant field you can get a job.

It was good. The management could have been a bit better in terms of giving us the 3000 euros discount as they have to our other batch mates. Overall it was a nice experience. The professors were cooperative and supportive.
