What Students Say
Likes
- I liked how accessible the student department is. Staffs in the college are always there to help in all the ways. Be it academic, finding jobs, co-curricular, finding accommodation etc. .
- Professors- The professors here are highly qualified. I like their way of teaching, where they don't just want us to learn everything by heart. They teach real life case studies which helps us to understand the course material better.
- Exposure- The students are from all around the world. This helps us to connect with them, and understand other cultures.
Dislikes
- Although the university offers a German course in campus, but it is paid. I would really like if the university provide a basic A level German course free of cost or at a minimalistic fee , so that every student can take advantage of that.
Required Exams for Admission
For the application, you need to submit your application on the university's website. On the website, you have to enter your every detail such as 10th, and 12th Graduation percentage and IELTS score. After getting selected one has to send the notarized copy of the transcripts, College Degree, Medium of Instruction letter from the graduation college,10th and 12th board mark sheet and certificate, to the college via post. I prepared for the IELTS exam from free resources on Google and youtube.
Course Curriculum
* There are 120 ECTS in the program. * I have experience in sales and marketing, and this course adds value to my profile, as I learnt theories of various subjects, such as International Marketing, Consumer behaviour and research, Sales and pricing, Brand management etc. * The faculty-student ratio is pretty good. As there are 15 students in my class. This makes our class interactive.

Campus Life
IU provides a vibrant campus life. Students from all over the world come to study and learn. This gives us an opportunity to immerse ourselves in different cultures. Although the number of fellow countrymen varies according to intake, I have found a good number of Indians there. In my class of 15, there are 3 Indians including me. The university is well equipped with online and offline libraries, where we can find several books, academic journals, etc for study and research. Well-maintained courts and fields are available for the students who enjoy various sports such as football, tennis, badminton, basketball etc. There are health centres on campus where trained and equipped health professionals are there for health needs. One can join various clubs according to their needs and interests. Each club are dedicated to music, dance, photography, entrepreneurship etc. The university also organizes an annual fest.
Placement
* The placements are pretty good for this university as, it has tie-ups with various big multinationals such as Salesforce, Zalando etc. We regularly have career events, where HRs of these companies interact with the students. Usually, on average a student is placed within 6 months after finishing the studies. One can find various alumni on portals such as LinkedIn who are currently working in big companies at higher posts. It is recommended to connect with them, which helps in the long run. Mostly students get an average package of 50000-60000 Euro per annum after completing their Masters.
Accommodation
My accommodation is a studio apartment, which I share with one person. The average monthly expense of accommodation for me is 400 Euro. The university hostels are definitely cheaper, but there is a long waiting period for this. STW is another option, which offers cheap and best accommodation, which includes a single room to 1 BHK. A student should apply for these as soon as possible, as again there are waiting periods. The university also gives a Mensa card, which allows a subsidized meal in any university's canteen in the city.
Fees
* I paid the 1st year of the fees upfront at the time of admission. My father sponsored those. I am doing a part-time job here, which helps to support my finances. * The university offers monthly and annual fee submission options. A student can opt for whatever option suits him/her. Other academic expenses include a 200 Euro semester ticket. This semester ticket is used by students only, which makes public transport free in the city. This is charged every 6 months.
