Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioengineering is focused on chemical engineering in the context of an industrial, engineering-driven application of biological/biotechnological principles. This distinguishes it from the natural science courses, biotechnology or molecular biotechnology, which primarily deal with the utilization of biological principles.
In the Bioengineering master's program, in-depth and extensive engineering, mathematical and scientific knowledge is imparted in theory and practice, which allows the application of process engineering principles to biological material systems. In this way, the graduates are to be qualified for scientific work and responsible action in their profession and society.
