The SLIET SET Result 2026 for SET-I, SET-II, SET-III, SET-IV, SET-VI, and SET-VII was declared on May 18, 2026 at slietexam.co.in. Candidates who appeared for the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Entrance Test can log in using their application credentials to check their scores, subject-wise marks, and merit rank. The 1st Round ICD seat allotment is currently live, with a token fee payment deadline of May 28, 2026.

The SET-V result for Ph.D. admissions will be declared separately on August 7, 2026, after the Ph.D. entrance test scheduled on August 6, 2026. All other program results are already out.

SLIET has been conducting SET annually for admission to its programs. One of the clearest trends over the last four to five years is the steady advancement of the exam schedule — the institute has moved the entire cycle from July/August (in 2022) to early May (from 2024 onwards). This shift gives you more time to plan alternatives, arrange finances, and report to the institute well before the academic session starts.

In 2026, SLIET declared the result just nine days after the exam — the fastest turnaround in recent years. Counselling also started the very next day after the result, on May 19.

The table below shows the counselling structure SLIET has followed over the last five years. The pattern has been consistent: three regular rounds followed by one special or spot round for remaining seats.

SLIET consistently runs three regular rounds and one special/spot round for all programs. If you don’t get your first-choice trade in Round 1, you can still participate in Round 2 and Round 3 upgradations with your seat intact.

The SLIET SET 2026 result is available online at slietexam.co.in. You need the same Application ID and password you used during registration to log in and access your result. The process takes less than two minutes.

Your SLIET SET 2026 scorecard is your official result document. Download it as soon as you check your result — you’ll need it at every stage of counselling, seat acceptance, and final reporting to the institute. A missing or incorrect scorecard can delay your admission process.

Keep both a printed copy and a saved PDF of your scorecard on your phone or computer. If you notice any error in your name, date of birth, category, or marks, report it to SLIET at chairmanset2026@sliet.ac.in before counselling begins.

SLIET SET 2026: Qualifying Marks and Eligibility

SLIET SET does not publish a fixed minimum score cutoff. Every candidate who appears receives a merit rank, and seat allotment depends entirely on your rank, the seats available in your chosen program/trade, and your choices during counselling. However, you must have met certain minimum eligibility thresholds in your qualifying examination at the time of application.

Reservation of seats follows Government of India norms: SC — 15%, ST — 7.5%, OBC-NCL — 27%, and PwD — 5% (horizontal across all categories). A 5% relaxation in SET qualifying score is given to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates. If you meet the eligibility criteria and have appeared in the exam, you are eligible for counselling regardless of your absolute score — what matters is your merit rank relative to other candidates and the number of available seats.

SLIET SET 2026: Seat Allotment

SLIET conducts online counselling in multiple rounds at slietexam.co.in. The 1st Round ICD seat allotment is currently live. If you have been allotted a seat, pay the token fee by May 28, 2026 to confirm it — missing this deadline means your allotment is cancelled.

How the counselling process works:

1. Choice Filling: Log in to slietexam.co.in and fill your preferred programs and trades in order of priority within the given window
2. Seat Allotment Published: SLIET publishes the round-wise seat allotment based on your merit rank and choices
3. Token Fee Payment: Pay ₹5,000 to confirm your allotted seat — this amount is adjustable against your full programme fees at the time of final reporting
4. Upgradation Rounds: If you want a higher-preference trade or program, participate in Round 2 and Round 3 — if an upgrade is available based on your rank, it happens automatically; your original allotment is retained if no upgrade is found
5. Final Reporting: After the final round, report to SLIET campus with original documents and pay the remaining programme fees

The token fee of ₹5,000 is only a seat confirmation deposit — not the full programme fee. You pay the full fees at final reporting after document verification at the SLIET campus. If vacant seats remain after all three regular rounds, a special or spot round is announced for eligible candidates who did not get seats earlier.
