As per the KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2024, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree whose minimum duration is 3 years or a Master’s degree from a recognized institute. The minimum marks required for General category candidates is 50% and for SC/ ST category candidates is 45%.

Candidates who have passed a Master’s degree examination in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering or technology streams from any recognized institute or university are also eligible to apply for KMAT 2024.

The KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 is as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for professional postgraduate courses. If you meet the KMAT eligibility criteria, you can apply for KMAT 2024 Application.

KMAT 2024 Reservation Policy is in accordance with the UGC guidelines. As per the KMAT 2024 Reservation Policy, SC and ST category candidates are eligible for 1.5% and 7.5% reservation respectively. The OBC category candidates get 27% reservation and PwD category candidates are eligible for reservation of 3%.

KMAT Eligibility 2024 Highlights

KMAT 2024 Age Limit:

There is no age limit for Karnataka KMAT. However, candidates must be at least 21 years old at the time of admission.

Nationality:

Candidate applying for the exam must be a citizen of India.

KMAT Educational Qualification:

  • Any graduate from a recognized university
  • Final-year graduation students can apply
  • Candidates must have secured the minimum aggregate required by the examination authorities.

KMAT Work Experience:

KMAT exam eligibility criteria do not include work experience. Both working and non-working candidates are eligible to apply.

Number of Attempts:

KMAT is conducted only once a year. There is no limit on the number of attempts you can take.

Through KMAT Scores, you can get admissions to MBA/ PGDM or MCA programs offered at various colleges in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The conducting body has defined minimum requisite eligibility standards that need to be satisfied to fill in the application form for KMAT 2024. KMAT 2024 Age Limit

  • The minimum age required for admissions to the postgraduate programs through KMAT is 21 years.
  • There is no specific upper age limit to apply for the course

Number of Attempts

There is no limit on the number of attempts for KMAT 2024 exam.

Work Experience:

No minimum work experience is required to apply for KMAT 2024 exam.

Final Year Students:

  • Candidates in the final year of their bachelor’s degree can also apply for KMAT 2024. However, such candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree before the time of KMAT 2024 Admission process.
  • In case a candidate is unable to produce necessary documents supporting their claim of completion of a Bachelor’s degree, they will be removed from the process thereafter.

KMAT 2024 Domicile Criteria

  • Earlier, only candidates belonging to Karnataka were eligible for this exam. This limitation has been removed by KPPGCA.
  • Candidates residing in any part of India or abroad are eligible to apply for KMAT 2024. Any candidates may apply irrespective of their domicile.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria for MBA/ PGDM and MCA courses have been defined separately. Given below are the detailed course-wise eligibility criteria for KMAT 2024.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 for MBA/PGDM

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree of three-year duration from any recognized college or institute.
  • A minimum aggregate of 50% is required. However, for SC/ST category candidates, a minimum aggregate of 45% in all subjects of the final year examination is necessary.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year examination of their bachelor's degree are also eligible.
  • Candidates who have passed a Master’s degree examination in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering & Technology streams from any recognized institute or university are also eligible to apply for KMAT 2024.

KMAT 2024 Eligibility for MCA

  • Candidates seeking admission to MCA courses through KMAT 2024 exam must hold a bachelor's degree in any stream.
  • A minimum aggregate of 50% in the final year examination of their bachelor's degree is required.
  • Additionally, candidates must have studied Mathematics as a subject in their Class 12 level examinations.

KMAT 2024 Reservation Policy

KMAT 2024 Reservation Policy is decided as per the UGC guidelines. The table below defines the reservation policy for various candidates:

The registration window for KMAT 2024 is expected to open tentaively in the last week of June 2024. You can register for KMAT 2024 till October 2024.

  • Step 1: Visit KMAT official website.
  • Step 2: Select the‘ Click Here to Register Now’ tab.
  • Step 3: A new page will appear, it will provide instructions related to KMAT Application Form. After reading the instructions, click on the ‘Register’ tab and fill in all the required details.
  • Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ tab. A ‘Reference Number’ will be issued and sent at the registered mobile number and email ID.
  • Step 5: Login again using the reference number and DOB in order to fill the final KMAT Application Form.
