- Female applicants- In-service Nurses must have studied 10+2 level along with a 3-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and a minimum of two years experience in the profession. Alternatively, they should have studied till class 10 or it's equivalent with 3 years Diploma in GNM and a minimum of five years of experience.
- Male applicants- Male nurses, who have not done midwifery in the GNM program must have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council.
