What is CG PET 2026?

CG PET stands for Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test. It is a state-level engineering entrance exam for admission to first-year B.E. and B.Tech programmes in government and private engineering colleges across Chhattisgarh. The exam is conducted by CG Vyapam (Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board), and seat allotment is handled by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chhattisgarh. CG PET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before you apply for CG PET, you should check the eligibility criteria carefully. CG PET 2026 has requirements for age, educational qualification, domicile, and minimum marks in Class 12. Age Limit

• Minimum age: 17 years as of December 31, 2026
• Maximum age: 30 years as of July 1, 2026 for General category candidates

Educational Qualification

• You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board
• Compulsory subjects: Physics and Mathematics must be core subjects in Class 12
• Third subject: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or an approved Technical / Vocational subject is acceptable as the third science subject alongside Physics and Maths
• Minimum marks – General / OBC / EWS candidates: 45% aggregate in Class 12
• Minimum marks – SC / ST / Female / PwD candidates: 40% aggregate in Class 12
• Candidates who appeared in Class 12 in 2026 are also eligible, subject to meeting the minimum mark requirement when results are declared

Domicile Requirement

• Chhattisgarh domicile holders get access to 90% of the total available seats
• The remaining 10% of seats are open to candidates from other states
• You should carry a valid domicile or residence certificate issued by a competent Chhattisgarh authority at the time of counselling and institute reporting

Note: CG PET eligibility does not apply to NIT Raipur. NIT Raipur admits students through JEE Main scores via JoSAA centralised counselling. CG PET is valid only for state government and private engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh that participate in DTE Chhattisgarh counselling.

CG PET 2026 Application Process

The CG PET 2026 application window was open from March 2 to March 27, 2026 at vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. A form correction window was available from March 28–30, 2026. CG PET 2026 Answer Key

CG Vyapam released the CG PET 2026 provisional answer key on May 26, 2026 – about 12 days after the exam. Candidates had a window to raise objections against any answer they felt was incorrect. After reviewing all objections, the final answer key was published on June 17, 2026. The CG PET 2026 result declared on June 12, 2026 was calculated based on the answer key after incorporating objection review corrections.

How the CG PET 2026 Answer Key Was Used
