Latest Update (May 30, 2026): AKNUCET 2026 application window has closed. The admit card is expected in the first week of June 2026. The exam is expected around June 9–13, 2026, in offline OMR mode. The result and rank card are expected in late June to early July 2026 on nannayacet.in.
AKNUCET 2026, officially known as the Adikavi Nannaya University Common Entrance Test (also called NANNAYACET), is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, for admission to PG programmes including MA, MSc, MCom, MEd, MPEd, and MHRM at AKNU and its affiliated colleges across East Godavari, Konaseema, and West Godavari districts. The 2026 application window has closed, and with the exam expected in June 2026, downloading the admit card and preparing for exam day are the most urgent tasks for all registered candidates.
- Admit Card: AKNUCET 2026 hall ticket is expected in the first week of June 2026. Last year (2025), the admit card was released about a week before the exam, which started on June 9, 2025 — so expect it around June 2–4, 2026. Download it from nannayacet.in using your registration number and date of birth.
- Exam Dates: AKNUCET 2026 is expected to be held around June 9–13, 2026, in offline OMR mode across 11 cities in Andhra Pradesh. In 2025, all 8 papers (Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Maths, Chemistry, Geology, Humanities, English, Telugu) were conducted across those five days in separate sessions.
- Answer Key: The AKNUCET 2026 official answer key is expected about 1–2 weeks after the exam concludes — likely the third week of June 2026. In 2025, the answer key appeared within two weeks of the last paper. Use it to estimate your score before the official result.
- Result: AKNUCET 2026 result and rank card are expected in late June to early July 2026 on nannayacet.in. Last year the rank list was declared in late June 2025, roughly two weeks after the exam, with counselling starting in July 2025.
What is AKNUCET 2026?
AKNUCET stands for Adikavi Nannaya University Common Entrance Test. Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), located in Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry), Andhra Pradesh, conducts this exam every year for admission to PG programmes at AKNU itself and at its large network of affiliated degree colleges spread across East Godavari, Konaseema (Amalapuram), and West Godavari districts.
The exam is also called NANNAYACET. The official portal nannayacet.in manages all exam activities — application, hall ticket, result, and rank card download. AKNUCET runs independently from the state-level AP PGCET and serves a distinct regional catchment in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Through AKNUCET 2026, you can get admission to more than 40 PG specialisations. These cover life sciences, physical and chemical sciences, mathematical sciences, humanities, social sciences, English, Telugu, management, physical education, and human resource management. The exam is open to all graduates from recognised universities who meet the minimum marks requirement.
The format is straightforward — 100 MCQs, 90 minutes, no negative marking — and the questions are based entirely on your UG-level coursework in the relevant subject. AKNU does not prescribe a separate external syllabus, which means your own undergraduate textbooks are your primary study material.

In 2025, AKNUCET was conducted across five days — June 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 — with different papers scheduled on different days. Each day typically had one or two 90-minute exam sessions. The 2026 schedule is expected to follow the same multi-day format for all 8 subject papers.
AKNUCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
You must check the AKNUCET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying. Candidates who do not meet the requirements can be rejected at the counselling stage even if they have a valid rank.
Educational Qualification
You must have a Bachelor’s degree (three-year programme following the 10+2+3 system) from any recognised university. The UG degree must be in a subject relevant to the PG programme you want to join. For example, if you want to apply for MSc Biochemistry, your UG must be in Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, or a related life science discipline.
Final-year UG students who have not yet received their results can also apply. They must produce their pass certificate or a provisional certificate at the counselling stage to confirm eligibility.
Minimum Marks Required
| Category | Minimum Marks in UG Group Subjects (Part II) |
|---|---|
| General / OBC | 50% |
| SC / ST | 45% |
| Physically Handicapped (PH) | 45% |
Age Limit
You must be at least 21 years old on the date of admission. There is no upper age limit for AKNUCET 2026.
Domicile
AKNUCET 2026 is open to all Indian candidates regardless of their home state. Andhra Pradesh local candidates benefit from a separate reservation quota in seat allotment. Candidates from outside AP can still apply and compete in the open merit category.
Distance Education Graduates
Graduates who completed their UG through distance or correspondence mode are eligible. You must carry a valid domicile or residence certificate from Andhra Pradesh at counselling if you are claiming local status.
Check that your UG subject group matches the PG programme you are applying for. Subject mismatch is one of the most common reasons for rejection at the counselling stage.
AKNUCET 2026 Application Process
The AKNUCET 2026 application was an entirely online process through nannayacet.in or the admissions section of aknu.edu.in. The 2026 window has now closed. This section covers the full process for reference and for students who will apply in future years.

Special Rules
Tie-breaker: If two candidates score equal marks in the same paper, the older candidate receives the higher rank. This is the official AKNU tie-breaking rule for the merit list.
Centre allocation: If fewer than 200 candidates register for a particular paper, AKNU conducts that paper only at the Rajamahendravaram centre — regardless of your preferred centre choice. This typically affects smaller-intake papers like Geology and some MA specialisations.
AKNUCET 2026 Syllabus

AKNUCET 2026 Answer Key
The AKNUCET 2026 answer key is expected in the third week of June 2026 — about one to two weeks after the exam concludes. In 2025, the answer key was published on nannayacet.in within two weeks of the last paper. Checking the answer key against your responses gives you a reliable estimate of your score before the official result is declared.
How to Download the Answer Key
- Visit nannayacet.in once the answer key is released
- Select your paper code from the list of available answer keys
- Download the PDF for your subject paper
- Compare your responses with the official key to calculate your probable score
Raising Objections
If you spot an error in the answer key, AKNU typically opens a short objection window — usually 2–3 days after the provisional key is published. To raise an objection, you need your registration number, the question number, the paper code, and a textbook or official source reference as evidence. AKNU reviews valid objections and releases a final answer key before declaring the result. Only objections backed by documented evidence are considered.
AKNUCET 2026 Result and Rank Card
AKNUCET 2026 result is expected in late June to early July 2026. AKNU publishes the result as a merit-based rank list on nannayacet.in. In 2025, the result was declared roughly two weeks after the last exam paper — if the 2026 exam follows the June 9–13 window, the result would fall around late June 2026, consistent with that pattern. Once the result is out, you can download your rank card by logging in with your registration number and date of birth.
As of May 30, 2026, the AKNUCET 2026 result has not been declared. The exam is expected in June 2026. The result will be announced only after the exam and the answer key objection process are complete. Do not trust any unofficial sources claiming the result is already out.
How to Check the AKNUCET 2026 Result
- Visit nannayacet.in or the admissions section at aknu.edu.in after the official result announcement
- Click on "AKNUCET 2026 Result" or "Rank Card Download"
- Enter your registration number and date of birth
- Your score, overall rank, and category rank will appear on screen
- Download the rank card PDF — you will need it for counselling
What the Rank Card Contains
- Candidate name and registration number
- Paper code and subject
- Marks obtained out of 100
- Overall merit rank (test-wise)
- Category rank (OC / BC / SC / ST / PH)
- Qualifying status
There is no minimum qualifying score in AKNUCET — every candidate who appears gets a rank. Your rank number is what matters for counselling seat allotment, not a pass-or-fail cutoff. Category ranks are used to fill reserved seats under AP government reservation norms.
AKNUCET 2026 Marks vs Rank
AKNU does not publish a formal marks-vs-rank analysis. The table below is based on competitive patterns from previous AKNUCET cycles. Use it as a rough guide to understand what rank you might receive for a given score in your paper.
Rank ranges vary significantly by paper. Physical Sciences (Paper 102) and Mathematical Sciences (Paper 103) tend to attract more competitive candidates. Geology (Paper 105) and some social science specialisations in Paper 201 see lower competition, which means a moderate score can still earn a good rank.
| Score Range (out of 100) | Expected Rank (Approximate) | Likely Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| 85–100 | Top 10–50 (programme-dependent) | Safe for any programme and college of your choice |
| 70–84 | Rank 50–200 | Safe for most popular programmes in preferred colleges |
| 55–69 | Rank 200–500 | Competitive — good for many programmes with open seats |
| 40–54 | Rank 500–1,000 | May get seats in less-subscribed programmes or colleges |
| Below 40 | Rank 1,000+ | Depends heavily on application volume for your paper |
These are estimates based on prior AKNUCET patterns. Actual 2026 ranks depend on the total number of candidates per paper and exam difficulty.
For programmes where total applicants are fewer than the available seats, AKNU admits candidates directly based on UG percentage rather than AKNUCET rank. In those cases, all eligible candidates who appeared may get seats — making the entrance test effectively a formality rather than a filter.
AKNUCET 2026 Cutoff
AKNUCET does not release a pre-counselling cutoff score. The effective cutoff for each programme and category is determined only after all counselling rounds close — it is the score of the last candidate allotted a seat in that programme and category combination.
Because AKNU does not publish historical cutoff data centrally, the figures below reflect score ranges that have typically been competitive in previous AKNUCET cycles.
Indicative Cutoff Ranges (Based on Previous Years)
| Programme Type | Indicative Cutoff — General | Indicative Cutoff — SC / ST |
|---|---|---|
| High-demand (MSc CS, Applied Maths, Biotechnology) | 55–70 out of 100 | 45–60 out of 100 |
| Medium-demand (MSc Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry) | 45–60 out of 100 | 35–50 out of 100 |
| Lower-demand (Geology, select MA specialisations) | 35–50 out of 100 | 28–42 out of 100 |
These are indicative figures. AKNUCET 2026 cutoffs will be determined by actual applicant volume and exam difficulty for 2026.
Factors That Affect the Cutoff
- Total applicants per paper: More competition pushes the effective cutoff up.
- Total seats available: More seats mean a lower effective cutoff.
- Paper difficulty: A harder exam shifts average scores down and generally lowers the cutoff.
- Category: SC and ST candidates typically see a 10–15 mark relaxation compared to General category cutoffs in the same programme.
- College preference: Top affiliated colleges in Kakinada and Rajamahendravaram carry higher effective cutoffs than smaller colleges in less populated towns.
AKNUCET 2026 Counselling Process

How to Prepare for AKNUCET 2026
AKNUCET 2026 has a 90-minute, 100-question OMR format with no negative marking. Your preparation strategy should focus on full coverage of your UG-level subject knowledge and on practising time management.
General Tips
- Use your UG textbooks: AKNU does not prescribe an external syllabus. Your own undergraduate textbooks — the ones you used for semester exams — are the best and most relevant study material for AKNUCET.
- Solve previous AKNUCET papers: Past question papers give you the clearest picture of question style and difficulty. They are available on nannayacet.in and various coaching portals. Aim to solve at least 3–4 previous papers under timed conditions.
- Attempt all 100 questions: There is no negative marking. You should attempt every question — even uncertain answers have a chance of being correct with nothing to lose.
- Pace yourself: With 100 questions in 90 minutes, you have about 54 seconds per question. Practise mock tests to build the speed needed to finish comfortably within time.
- Focus on understanding, not memorisation: AKNUCET tests whether you understood your UG coursework — questions check concepts, not definitions.
Subject-wise Tips
- Life Sciences (Paper 101): Cell biology, genetics, and molecular biology are consistently the highest-weightage areas. Focus on metabolic pathways (glycolysis, Krebs cycle) and recombinant DNA technology.
- Physical Sciences (Paper 102): Electromagnetism and modern physics carry high question weight. Practice numerical problems from your UG Physics books. Electronics — transistors and logic gates — is a reliable scoring area.
- Mathematical Sciences (Paper 103): Linear algebra and differential equations typically have the most questions. For CS applicants, data structure questions are usually straightforward.
- Chemical Sciences (Paper 104): Organic chemistry reaction mechanisms are always heavily tested. Named reactions (Aldol, Cannizzaro, Grignard, Diels-Alder) often appear directly. Physical chemistry thermodynamics and electrochemistry are other high-frequency areas.
- Humanities (Paper 201): This is a general aptitude paper. Logical reasoning and basic numerical ability are the quickest sections to score from — attempt these first.
- English (Paper 202): Literary movements and grammar are always tested. Compile a quick-reference list of literary terms, movements, and key authors from your BA English textbooks.
- Telugu (Paper 203): Focus on Telugu grammar (sandhulu, samasalu) and classical literature. Your BA Telugu textbooks — especially the vyakaranam sections — are the primary source.
Suggested Study Plan for the Last Month Before the Exam

Ans. The AKNUCET 2026 hall ticket is expected in the first week of June 2026.
