I did my MBA in HR from Nmims a few years ago. The fees were 16.5 LPA back then. Got placed at a 12 LPA package. That was kind of the average for my batch (HR was around 80 students) or maybe slightly below average. A few people got 18 and 20 LPA packages but those were just a handful. Quite a few got placed in the 10-16 LPA range. Some got 6-10 LPA packages also. Placement is not just based on merit, it's very luck based also. You may get placed very early with a company that is not offering a huge package and then you obviously can't sit for further companies. By luck, better paying companies may arrive later and still unplaced students may crack them and get a better package than you. So really can't say. The goal is always to get placed as early as possible - don't count on getting a better company later and leave the decent companies that come early.
Few points -
Far as i know, no one was left unplaced at the end. Faculty and management have contacts in corporates so the few students who are struggling to get placed when placement season ends, are helped somehow into these corporates.
You can get good houses at 15k rent in vile parle also, but obviously on a sharing basis. There are 2 bhks available for around 60k, you can have 3 flatmates. 2 people in each room is pretty standard.
Nmims Mumbai doesn't have a great ROI, everyone knows that. But end of the day it's a decent brand of B school, you will get placed at a decent package, and alumni network is pretty good. Batch is so huge that there are alumni in practically every big and small company.
Look at the pros and cons and make your decision, good luck.
